Why is mail so slow?

Why is yahoo mail and other yahoo sites load so slow?

• yahoo is so slow on my computer, slow to log into mail, slow to log into answers, slow to do web search, has anyone got any ideas why, or how to fix? thanks in advance

  Possible reasons: Internet congestion. Too many people trying to go the site simultaneously. The site does not have enough bandwidth to handle all the requests. There are lots of images. You have a slow connection. It is usually due to congestion on the Internet (lots of people online) or the site does not have enough resources (bandwidth or fast enough web server) to handle lots of people trying to get to it simultaneously. Try clearing temp files and cookies from the tools menu, internet options, if you are using internet explorer.
