What are the best Facebook apps?

Facebook Insights: Under "Like Sources", what does "Third-Party Apps" mean? What are these "Third-Party Apps"?

Initially, I thought it meant our own app (). However, we didn't have "Like us on Facebook" feature before. Ironically, after we added this feature in our new version, the number of "Third-Party Apps" under Like Sources plummeted. Could anyone tell what the figure means? Thanks for answers. But I'm still a little confused. What are these "Third-Party Apps"? Firstly, we didn't have "Like" button on our own product before, so these likes from "Third-Party Apps" didn't come from our own app. Secondly, none of our ads on mobile devices directly go to our Facebook Page. None of them have a "Like" button. Furthermore, after we added "Like" button on , the number of "Third-Party Apps" dropped sharply. It seems quite odd. So what are these "Third-Party Apps"?
