    Approximately $10 per person per day for gratuities/service charges. This covers the cabin attendant and the dining waitstaff. Room service is free but you should tip the person who delivers it. There are charges for soft drinks (soda/pop) and alcoholic beverages. There are often specialty restaurants/coffee shops/ice cream shops on board that you have to pay if you want their product. Spa services are additional. Organized excursions on shore at the ports are extra, but it's free to get off the ship and walk around. Photographs seem fairly expensive but they're cheaper than if you go to a professional photographer (not one of those WalMart ones) on shore. Souvenirs, jewelry, cigarettes, liquor - anything for sale in the shops onboard.

Your soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are not included in the price. Carnival is $10 per person (all, including infants to elderly) per day. But as much as they say mandatory, these can be disputed or eliminated completely if so inclined. But if you have bad wait service and lower your tips, ALL will get less. not just who you were dissatisfied with. So if you want to tip individually just let them know at the beginning of the cruise You will find out the $10 per person is actually cheaper
