Has anyone been on the Carnival Splendor?

Can anyone tell me what deck is used to get passengers on and off on the Carnival Splendor?

  • I am planning on booking very soon, but want to not book a room on that deck. I don't want the people to be lined up in front of my door while I try to sleep in.

  • Answer:

Most likely.....80% of the time, they unload and load passengers on one of the lowest decks where there are not any rooms. Usually its the storage decks or where the crew has there cabins. Also....when they load and unload from the middle of the ship its usually where the lobby is, centrum etc. its not RIGHT next to any cabins. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Select a room that's in the middle of the hallway, instead of next to the elevators...that's a good tip for the quiet.

Look at the deck plans on the Carnival website. ALL Carnival ships load passengers on Deck 3 which is the Lobby. There are no rooms on that deck. AND to get on and off at each port everyone including crew (when they get a break to go ashore) get off on Deck 0 which is the lowest deck possible. Deck 0 is the deck the crew sleeps on. The main deck is the best. It's deck 2 right below the Lobby. But you won't hear people getting onboard because you'll be in the line too on that first day and on the days you get on and off it will be 2 decks below you
