What will happen if you lose your passport?

What would be the procedure if you lose your passport onboard?

  • ok lets say for arguments sake you had a passport at embarkation (that's it, not copies of it, no birth certificate. just one passport) and you lose it. what would happen when you ...show more

  • Answer:

On our last two cruises, we had to show our passports before we could get on the boat. They entered all of the info into their computers, then put that info into a 'credit card' type thing that also worked as our room key. We used that card to go off and on the boat and never had to show our passports again. It may be different for each cruise line though. (Ours were Disney cruises.)

Once you board the ship you will never have to show your passport again until you reenter the US. You will have to prove you are an American citizen at immigration. That could be a major problem. ₪ ɦəlʞɹɐq ₪
