Does anyone know where I can watch the rugby league games live on TV (Fox) in Melbourne?

    The Max Hotel in Phraran shows quite a few games live throughout the season. Overall though the coverage of the game is quite poor, for some of the big games (ie State of Origin) you can find a few pubs with an illegal feed showing the games live.

Im a diehard Manly supporter myself who moved here from Brisbane last year. The promotion of the game in this City is attrocious. I've found one pub who will consistently show games (nearly always without sound) - Steakout Bar and Grill (upstairs near the Cinemas at Crown Casino). Their website is: http://www.steakoutatcrown.com.au Apart from that i've found some pubs to be down right rude in refusing to show Rugby League... My local pub Elephant and Wheelbarrow at St Kilda will only show the games as a last resort... if there is no AFL (on free to air), Rugby Yawnion, Spanish Soccer, World Marbles Tour. Quite a joke on Friday Nights when the games are in the middle of the night and Fox isn't allowed to show them live down here... The NRL really has to step in and pull Channel 9 Melbourne into line.

last year i rang channel 9 to ask why they wouldnt put any nrl games live in to melbourne channel 9 said that if they put willy wonka and they chocoate on would pull better rataings then nrl would so its the rataings thats why channel 9 shows nrl at 12.00 midnight
