Been there! Only my grandparents have a farm an hour away with horses so I'm good haha:) Anyway, I would take a very mature approach to this. Now, I'm not saying this is what you do, but some people just complain to their parents and say "pleeeeeeeessseeee let me rideeee I neeeeddd tooooooo," and that's just plain annoying. Take a legitimate argument to them, saying 'I know it's expensive, but I'll find ways to work the money off and pay for it how I can.' The barn you go to will probably have a job available for you to work off a bit of it, and that's great because if you want to have a life with horses, cleaning stalls and grooming is something you're gonna have to learn. Another point to make is that thousands of kids have softball, football, swimming, etc, which isn't cheap. This is your sport, and if you do other activities, be prepared to make choices. Hope this helps! Good luck!:)

what i did is a said my friend reccomended it cause she goes there and ill pay for them myself.

Say that you would want to grow up doing it and tell them you want to grow up with it and maybe even go to collage doing it! Say that u r not in enough activity!

Convince them . Like for example maybe saving up your own money and use that money instead of using your parents,be responsible around your house like cleaning when not even told, and little things around to help and be more responsible thats what i do. Good Luck(:

Lessons aren't expensive if you find a private trainer...some lessons are 30/hour. If you do that every other week it's only 60/month...less than a cell phone bill!
