  I agree with the first answer. :) Show them you are responsible first. Maybe even see if you could do a 6 week trial to show her that you could do it and would stick it out. Second- I dont know about where you are located but around here people dont charge people to help exercise their animals. In some cases they actually pay YOU to come exercise them. Sounds a bit high. But maybe its because you are in a big city? Whatever the reason I would def look around a tad more before I actually paid that kind of money to "help" someone out :) I currently train 4+ horses for a neighbor and we are always looking for someone to spend some saddle time on the young horses. Of course something like that would depend on your riding level as well. :) Good luck!
