What are some easy ways to save money? I.e. turning water off while brushing teeth...?

you can buy different windows that are majorly insulated, to save money on your heating bill. shut off the water when you'ree brushing your teeth, washing your hands, etc. make sure your dishwasher is totally full, and you can save a few gallons of water! environment friendly too! :)

easy ones: -turn off lights when you leave a room -put a pitcher of water in fridge instead of running water until it's cold -get reusable bags for shopping, ( I think they actually charge you a few cents for those plastic bags, don't quote me) more involved: -install energy efficient windows - insulated water heater There are many more ways to go green. But forget saving the planet, most of these are ways to save a lot of money by reducing your heating and electric bills in the long run. Try researching a brand called "energy star", they make energy saving products.

truing off all lights using cfl light bulbs dont buy bottled water for the home only do home repairs that are totally nessary now use low flow shower heads i dont like that one was cloths in cold water were possible get energy star windows and applinces when it comes time for replacing

There is lots of ways you can save money, like turing off the water when not needed or changing to energy saving light globes, turning stuff off at the wall when its not needed, make sure your doing full loads of washing..... everything like that.

wow, I had now idea that some people need running water to brush their teeth.... You can change all your lightbulbs to energy efficient ones. Take your own bag to the store so you don't need shopping bags. You can buy stuff at the thrift store (also a way of recycling and a way to save lots of money), while you go there you can also drop off the stuff you don't need but which is still usable instead of putting it into the trash. if you can walk or bike, do that instead of using a car (also good for your health and against obesity). if you own your home have it properly insulated, use an energy efficient furnace, Insulate your water heater and hot water pipes. Don't heat water too hot. turn of electrics you don't use. e.g don't let computer run day and night. Buy powerstrip you can turn off if they don't have a proper off switch. don't buy stuff you don't need

Everyone has great ideas. You also don't have to flush everytime. Toilets often use a LOT of water. Follow the slogan "if it's yellow let it mellow; if it's brown flush it down." I live with environmentalists, and it works for us! Also, turn the water off while you are shaving. I do it in the shower when I shave my legs. But for guys, they can waste a lot. It's better to partially fill the sink with the stopper down than to let water run to rinse the razor.

Buy a program able thermostat and use it so you run your heat or AC less. get a tankless water heater Install motion sensors on switches in room Put appliances on power strips and turn off the strip when not in use. Any appliance with a digital display sucks electricity all the time (like you VCR clock) Set the power down/snooze/sleep settings on you computers to shut down sooner. Same with teh screen saver - just set it to turn off the monitor instead of running screensaver.

Cut your cable fees. I only receive the basic channels now, because we're avid movie goers. I've saved over $150.
