Why are eagles endangered and which species are endangered?

Answer:
Eagles are at the top of the food chain and hence vulnerable to bioaccumulative toxins. The pesticide DDT prevented them from forming egg shells around their eggs. DDT has been banned for some time so they are making a comeback. It has nothing to do with poaching.
