Why are there so many people who think they can learn how to sing without lessons?

  Majority of the singers on here are beginners and their only idea of singing is simply imitating or trying to imitate what they hear their favorite singers doing on the radio. What they do not realize is that majority of those songs are full of edits and effects that give them the "Flawless" sound that they have. They don't realize that in order to be a professional singer you must dedicate hours and hours of endless practice and learn the basics of breathing, enunciation, interpretation, and phrasing. These are the skills that all professional singers MUST have in order to be taken seriously. Great post :-)
