    Well maru technically you can since its plugged into an amp.... Not sure exactly but i can get a pretty similar sound with boosted mid and treble and with reverb added, you'll have to experiment yourself with how much you want

You can't really change the sound of an acoustic guitar. Only tip i can give to you is to get capo, the clamp he has at the 4th fret. it changes the key/pitch of your guitar, making it higher the higher you apply it on the fretboard. You could also of course try getting different types of strings for your guitar. As far as i know the more old and worn out the strings are the more lighter the sound will be, you can try asking more about this by going to music shop or browsing web for forums dedicated for musicianship.
