  • Answer:

I could buy a turkey at any grocer in town any time of year. Is there a WalMart near you? Try them. They'll probably have turkeys.

You can get a turkey anytime, they just don't have as many of them as they do at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Look in the frozen meats section.

You can buy turkey breast or turkey slices in the deli meats (cold cuts) section. Also canned turkey and turkey spam. Frozen turkeys are sold year round in the frozen foods section in most stores. Ever since the 1970s, turkey has become more popular year round bc it's a low fat and good tasting food.

My stores have turkeys. They are in the frozen food section though, you can buy what I prefer...just a turkey breast without the legs, it's about 7 or 8 pounds usually, and you cook it just like a thanksgiving turkey. It might be harder to find a full 20 pound turkey right now, but they still have lots of whole frozen turkeys where I shop. Walmarts have them, so do regular grocery stores. Turkeys are never out of season. Just don't get a turkey roll...looks like a turkey but it's rolled and processed vs. a whole regular bird with a wishbone.
