Any other Vegan Muslims out there?

What do you think of vegetarian/Vegan Muslims who eat no meat or animal products?

  • Do you think they are misguided?why or why not?Do you think the vegetarian lifestyle is compatible with the teachings of Islam why or why not?Give evidence from the Quran and Hadith ...show more

  • Answer:

Being so is a matter of preference, and as long as a person does not eat haram things that's okay. From Quran, all things are lawful as a Mercy and Bounty from Allah (swt) unless explicitly stated in the Quran which are mostly harmful to one's health..

There is nothing wrong if a person becomes vegan due 2 medical problems like High B.P. I wish most of the people were vegans so that animal/fish and poultry get cheaper due 2 less demand. Heh heh heh.

they are fine. I'm Buddist and I also vegetarian. I don't feel meat smell good or look delicious. when I see the meat it made me think of human meat on the plate. we and animals are not different. I just curious why do many ppl scared of the ghost or the old people died in the house but they dont scared when they brought the animal meat ( verify as corpse to me) into the house.

a person can be a good muslim by having only veg products and also a person can be a good muslm by being a vegerian as well. Islam maintains that Allah has created the earth and its wondrous flora and fauna for the benefit of mankind. It is upto mankind to use every resource in this world judiciously, as a niyamat (Divine blessing) and amanat (trust) from Allah. A Muslim can be a very good Muslim despite being a pure vegetarian. It is not compulsory for a Muslim to have non-vegetarian food. 2 -The Qur’an, however permits a Muslim to have non-vegetarian food. The following Qur’anic verses are proof of this fact: "O ye who believe! Fulfil (all) obligations. Lawful unto you (for food) are all four-footed animals with the exceptions named." [Al-Qur’an 5:1] "And cattle He has created for you (men): from them Ye derive warmth, and numerous benefits, And of their (meat) ye eat." [Al-Qur’an 16:5] "And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: From within their bodies We produce(milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat." [Al-Qur’an 23:21]

How many people have access to meat for eating in whole world?

Khursheed

I believe they are to do what they wish. Allah has permitted us to eat meat, poultry, fish ... etc. If a person chooses not to eat, it is their choice, there is nothing wrong with it.

You shouldn't refuse zabiha meat offered to you that was slaughtered for the purpose of feeding those at an aqiqa or after Eid Al Adha. Of course you can. . .but if it's solely on the grounds of upholding your personal dietary guidelines then it probably isn't the the best excuse.

Nobody has to eat meat. It is ok with Islam. Im vegeterian in Holland hence the meat may not be halel.
