Assalaamu'alaykum Warahmatullah Wabarakatahu I do not know what jobs you could specifically get, but there are many Islamic organizations which may take you on. I know many sisters who have done a Degree in Teaching and then put that to good use, working in an Islamic School teaching both the Deen and other subjects such as English, Maths, Science etc... This is what I wish to do too Insha'Allah, teaching young children. I had a job proposal by Muslims who wanted to set up a islamic Nursery catering for young children. The dunya education is important as we need to educate our youngsters, they are the future generation, so if we are able to teach the right morals and lay the foundation, that is indeed a great thing. I guess it depends how strong you are I am studying to be a Teacher and Alhamdulillah I have maintained a balance, yes it can be hard, but that is where we need to rectify our intention and know all that we do is for Allah (Azzawajaal's) sake and seeking the reward from Him and Him alone. And lastly don't look into the future too much, focus on Today Insha'Allah and know that Allah (Azzawajaal) will help you as long as you keep your convent to Him. You have to be a storng minded individual and not get put down by people's expectations or what they may assume of you. ~All the best Insha'Allah.
You should follow your heart and do what YOU enjoy doing. Higher education is about learning and preparing for the future, but you want to enjoy what you do, so if Islamic Studies is where you want to go, just do it. Something good will surely come of it by the time you are finished. Don't let your future detract from the present too much. Just go with your flow and when the time comes, you will find the career path that suits you. Hope that helps a bit - just one point of view though!
