What musicians sound like Louis Armstrong and Michael Buble?

You want to listen to someone who sounds like both Louis Armstrong and Michael Buble? Can't help you there, my friend. Seriously, if you like good trumpet playing in jazz then you should listen to Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Clifford Brown, Fats Navarro, Clark Terry, Roy Eldridge... If you like good singing...I'm not a huge fan of jazz singing but one of my favourite pianists, Bill Evans, made a great album with singer Tony Bennett. If you still like both deathmetal and jazz and want to find a way of combining the intensity of the first with the sophistication of the second, you should listen to an album by the Peter Brötzmann Octet called 'Machine Gun'. It was recorded by a bunch of European (German/Dutch/English) players in a disused munitions factory in 1968 and is perhaps the most fearsome piece of all-acoustic jazz ever recorded. It makes your typical metal band look like wimps for using distortion pedals - these guys managed to communicate the same kind of hellacious sound using only saxes, brass, piano, upright bass and drums...

Well I love Louis, but I prefer the ladies. You've got Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday. Billie gets my vote for favorite vocalist. My favorite song is Louis Armstrong and Oscar Peterson's "You Go To My Head".

try michael franks..he has a smooth sound like you're into a fine dining cuisine or in a hotel when you listen to him...

If you like Buble then get the guy he is imitating Ol' Blue Eyes Frank Sinatra. There are various greatest hits out there.
