Why are eyes red and swollen after taking contact lenses off?

    I use acuvue oasis. I used to be scared of putting the contacts in an out, but after a few days/weeks i got really used to it. It's so much better than wearing glasses though. You'll eventually get used to contacts, and love them. But, wearing contacts have made me blinder because i depend on them too much.

its not like that contact lenses are easy to use and convenient also, if u use them properly keep it clean, and it will not harm you.

I dont think you can "cut your eye" with contacts. You can always have your eye doctor let you try on the contacts. I got lasik after having contacts for 7 years and it was the best thing i have EVER done!

From a qualified optician. Legally blind? Does she mean that you must wear specs, or contacts to drive? In the UK blind means blind. I am appalled at the way you have been treated. If you had seen me (no pun intended) I would have gone through all the options with you! Don't be afraid of contact lenses. A contact lens actually cutting a blood vessel? I have never heard of it. It all depends on your prescription. If you wish to e-mail it to me I can better advise you.
