    The best source for Halloween props for a haunting is the Monster List of Halloween Projects. Many links have step by step directions and pictures to help with construction. It can be found at: http://www.halloweenmonsterlist.info/ The Martha Stuart Halloween special addition magazine provides ideas with a New England flavor. I've actually made quite a few. They are easy and supplies are available from local craft stores. Don't bother getting the magazine since most of the projects are from older publications and you can get them from her website, including patterns that need to be printed out. You can probably rent a fog machine from a rental store. We own one but the down side of ours is that it does not go off on its own, rather it requires someone to push a button which is not really ideal.
