  Latoya - Sorry to say, but the opportunities for an AS in Criminal Justice tend to be rather sparse. Some municipalities will give you additional consideration for your educational accomplishments in applying for a law enforcement position, but most departments of any size are now requiring a Bachelors. Given your interest in continuing on to law school, you might consider switching from an AS in CJ to earning a Paralegal certification. Many programs will provide college credits for the courses you will need for certification, and even if you cannot find an program for Paralegal Studies at your local Community College or University, any Associates degree you earn as you continue on to the Bachelors will be just as valuable; in fact, the best choices for a career in law are a degree in either Philosophy or English. As to pursuing the Paralegal path, it will not only allow you to earn a (fairly) good living while completing school, but will also provide you with invaluable experience - and a real edge - in applying to law school. As any attorney will tell you, it's the paralegals (and some legal secretaries) who actually prepare the bulk of the documents, pleadings, and even legal research - and don't think law schools don't know it. Several years as a Paralegal (along with a kick-butt LSAT score) will get you into any law school you choose. (Side note: you can go to law school straight out of finishing your undergraduate work, so getting a Masters first is purely optional).
