You just have to start out at the bottom, as a legal secretary, receptionist, or clerk. Work at a law office while you get your associates in paralegal studies. This way, when you graduate you will have law office experience which will help you land a paralegal job, or you can try to get promoted at the law office you already work at.

27 years ago, I interviewed for a legal secretary position. Now I am a legal assistant and office manager. I had no legal background, but did have LOTS of secretarial background as well as accounting. If you are a fast learner, good at details, proof your own work and take initiative at work to learn everything you can, you will do good at whatever career you choose.
