While I'm at university studying law, can I get a job in a law firm? What would this be, if any?

Answer:
Yes, most law firms hire law interns between the 2nd and 3rd years. First years are rarely (if ever) hired for anything with law firms. You'll do research, clerking and scut work--being a "gofer". Apply in lots of places--and apply early. There's a big scramble around March for these jobs.
