Here are some better responses: 1) I would like to receive additional training and mentoring so that I can grow as an individual while also helping the company achieve its short and long-term goals. 2) My supervisor can help me achieve my goals by having a monthly, one-hour mentoring session with me where we can discuss my goals and how to best go about achieving them. 3) Corporate needs to be more involved in the performance of individuals in order to provide guidance and mentoring throughout an employee's career.
