How to build a good resume?

How can I build my resume in order to get accepted into some good university for an MS in CS?

  • I am a second (going on to third) year COE student here in NSIT and I want to do an MS in something related to AI (preferably) from one of the star universities of the US. I have an aggregate score of around 78% in the first three semesters and have some good level web development and coding skills in which I've taken up a few projects (not related to AI). What can I do to make my resume suitable for an admission abroad? What are these universities looking for in a student? Is percentage a very big factor? As I believe my percentage is certainly going to drop after the fourth semester result. And what kind of projects should be good in this domain? Thank you!

US universities unlike Indian colleges judge the applicants on the following criteria Your GRE score Social work: US universities want someone who isn't just good in academics, they want someone who is also a good human being. Research Papers Aim to get a GRE score >335. A good score bridges the gap between a person with a poor profile and a person with a great profile but a lesser score. Work for some NGO's, and not just for the sake of it. Contribute to the society with the dual purpose of building your profile and helping in the upliftment of the society. Take up some research projects with any faculty or PhD scholars related to your area of interest. Your percentage matters but 78 is good enough. They generally take into account your relative rank in your department. All the best :)
