What jobs can i pursue with a bachelors degree in exercise science?

  • what are the salaries like? and i dont want to be a personal trainer...

  • Answer:

Any job minus lawyer, doctor, architect or engineer! Salaries from $35k to about $50k are reasonable right out of college depending on where you are in the US, the industry of the company and how well you can negotiate. Entry level investment bankers make more than entry level teachers who make more than 2nd Lieutenants in the Army - but the effort to get and keep those jobs are similar. Expect to be making twice your salary in 7 years time and twice that again if you stick it out for a total of 15 more years. The fact is that when you have a BA or BS in something it just proves to employers that you have the chutzpah to 1) learn new things and 2) stick something out for at least four years. Whether you want to do that same thing for another four years is usually not a factor. In fact, if you seem good and the job is not related to your major, good companies will try to persuade you to change your career focus to work for them. Only when we hire older "experts" is grad school important. If you are 30+ and have little experience then grad school factors in, but experience and accomplishments trump grad school in almost all cases. Good luck.
