Answer:
Think of all the money you will spend getting those degrees LPN. RN, go for the BSN and just spend 1 amount . I promise you , you will get tired of going to school year after year.

I'm not really sure what else to say. You want to take a year long program and turn it into 3 or 4 while continuing to work full time. That doesn't leave you too many options. If it were me, I'd be looking into financial aid and grants to try and cover schooling and would go straight for the BSN. There used to be all kinds of money for moms returning to school to get a better education, especially in a field that's desperately needed. Have you researched the job market for LPNs? The people on this board say that the jobs are hard to come by. It doesn't do you any good to spend all this time and money on school if you end up with a degree that you can't get a decent job with. Some RN programs are attached to schools with daycare programs. This is a viable option if you don't have familial support or a sitting trade group. If you are looking at BSNs, the better degree, MSU does not appear to have a wait list - they select based on merit after your prereqs and GEs are complete. You can still work quite a bit during your first two years of college. I was usually able to work at least 30 hours a week during my first two years of college. If the baby's father isn't stepping up, it's time to start demanding that and hoping that he follows through. You both will need to make sacrifices if you want a better degree. Your other option is waiting until your child is older so that you can take your life off hold a bit. It's the trade off women make when they decide to have children, especially at such a young age - mom's career usually gets put on hold. Good Luck

If you can wait for the RN program, I suggest you go straight to it. But if you can't, LPN should be worth it considering the possibility of earning more and being promoted. LPNs receive between $28,185 - $50,467 or $13.52 - $23.18 an hour.
