Confused about my nursing career?

    Welcome to the sisterhood! Everything you feel is normal. And it has never been as bad as it is now. Like another writer said the influx of foreigners, rude demanding patients and poor administrators have made it impossible to do your job with dignity. What nurses at the bedside go thru is really abuse! Pure and simple. I say to you to look for a nice Drs office or clinic where you won't be so stretched and pressured. But I don't blame you for leaving the profession if you do. Good luck in all you do.

No you are not the only one to think so.I believe many on that field feel this way and the only thing to do is to change careers or try to work at a place that you like.Just choose and environment that you will enjoy more within the field.There are many options out there.Good luck

I dont know if you tried Home Care. Many people like it better than the hospital(you didnt mention if your in the hospital/nursing home). The nurse has more autonomy and you can make your own basic schedule. I dont know if that will help. Good Luck
