  I work at one of the local hospitals in my area (Chesapeake, Virginia). I have worked in healthcare for 21+ years now, never in management. I have seen introductions in emails of people getting administrative positions and most all of them had bachelors degrees and years of service in their background. Those positions were lesser than CEOs' but like administrators. I am enrolled in a 2 year management course and I have a good chance of getting a Team Coordinatior position after I finish, that is, in the same division I am in now. I work in Materials Management (medical supplies). I know healthcare here usually have openings for managers. I have visited the company job postings and there was usually always an opening for some type of management position. Personally, I would say you have a good chance. I don't live or know anything about your area but we must keep hope alive. Be strong in networking. If things seem to move slow sometimes volunteering to learn the ropes and to gain some experience can be helpful. I am hoping to get a management position with my two year degree somewhere within the organization where I work or win the lottery one (smile). Hang tight and keep strong. I wish you luck. Check out the job postings. You will definitely get an idea of what they are looking for. Now people can apply online and submit resumes at the same time on the web page no matter what city, state, and probably country you live in.
