What types of Medical degrees are there?

What are the differnt types of nursing degrees to go to school for and what is the pay like for them?

  • I know there are different kinds or levels of nurses- but what are they? How are they different and how much does each kind get paid?

  • Answer:

To become a registered nurse, you will need either an associate's degree or bachelor's degree (ASN or BSN). I have my BSN, which is a bachelor's of science in nursing. An ASN is a two-year degree while a BSN is a four-year degree. So, I am Whitney, BSN, RN. I received the BSN part when I graduate college and the RN part when I passed the NCLEX-RN. I graduated in May of 2008 and work in WV. I make $23.15 an hour. I started out at a little over $21, increased to $22.47 when I received my license, and then after six months, the hospital had an across the board raise of 3%. In my area, a BSN typically makes around one dollar more per hour than someone with their ASN. BSN can move into management positions, while ASN's usually cannot.
