How do i get into paediatric nursing? is it rewarding?

Being a nurse is very rewarding, not to mention a job that is extremely in demand. You do not need the same schooling or apptitude a doctor does, but you do need some college. Almost any community college offers an Associates Degree is nursing. That is usally all you need to get started. As you get more establised you can go for a bachelors, LN, RN etc... If you want to work in a doctors office, you will do tasks such as drawing blood, taking blood pressure, temperatures and probably giving shots. In a hospital the role is a little different. My Mother in Law is a Pediatrican who is very friendly with some of the nurses that work under her at the hospital. Helping children while rewarding can also be heartbreaking. You will be present in births, where unfortunately the child may not make it or be so sick it spends weeks in the NICU. You will also be assigned to the newborn nursery. where you take care of the newborns who are not in their parents rooms at the moment. As a nurse, I almost think you develop more of a bond with a patient than the doctor does. Obviously a nurse taking care of a child or an adult will have to deal with the death of a patient or other tragic things; you just have to ask yourseld before considering it as a career is it something you could handle day in and out.

if youve poor qualifications you need to start by doing an acess to nursing course,then go straight on to nursing at college,you need good grades to get straight on to this course
