What classes should I take in High school to become a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist)?

  Do the courses you like to get you to University. Maybe even AP courses if you like. (AP courses lessen the time in college and the cost...something I should have done but didn't) Since you are still in High School, begin looking into the nursing profession itself. When you graduate HS, look into getting your CNA certification. This is the first step into the world of health care and you will see if the profession truly is or is not for you. Believe me, there ARE nurses who HATE their work. They do it for the money basically. Hopefully, the fat paycheck of a CRNA is not the only thing you are after) In college, get your science classes and such and try and get into Nursing School (which is quite competitive these days) and when you graduate from there, you will need AT LEAST a year experience as an RN (keep in mind, this is at least 7 years from now for you), then you can apply to CRNA schools which is 2 years I believe. Good luck! ***seriously, go for the CNA though. The first time pay will pay off your equipment (stethoscope, sphygmomanometer, etc) and the class itself.
