Which career pays more? Surgical Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography?

For general career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'surgical technologists', 'diagnostic medical sonographers' or such. Not sure that there are too many jobs for surgical techs (and not sure about sonography jobs either). It really comes down to what one would enjoy doing all day long for the next 50 years or so. They say 'if you love what you do, you'll never have to work a day in your life' -- to pursue a career that one would do for free :) Please steer clear of those private $$ career schools and instead opt for the county vo-tech school or community college as long as the program is accredited within the industry.
