How much is a master degree in the u.s for nurses?

Can nurses get a master's degree, too?

  • I'd like to be a nurse practitioner, but the only education for nurses I've heard of are associate's or bachelor's degree. I would really like to get a master's or even a doctorate ...show more

  • Answer:

If you want to be a nurse practitioner, you will be earning either a master's degree or a doctorate in nursing practice. Some schools are starting to transition to have all NP's earn the DNP degree rather than just the master's. Why wouldn't hospitals accept you with a higher degree? The higher degree makes you more valuable to any employer.
