What's the difference between a NP and a RN?

Whats the difference between a RN with an Associates Degree and a RN with a Bachelors Degree?

  • is there really a difference other than the less years you'll spend if you go for a Associates Degree?

    At the hospital I work for maybe pay by about a dollar or two in pay and opportunities such as witih a bachlors you can teach, an RN cannot.

I too have been looking into this, what I found out was the quality of the nurse after both courses are still the same, but as the above suggested, the Bachelor's degree will offer a deeper insight into management and further options of different types f nurses, like flight nursing or forensic nursing but other than that it will not affect your possible future jobs. good luck with it all nursing i a very rewarding life choice, well done to you.

In terms of "quality", not really. The Bachelors degree will help if he/she is interested in management or advanced practice.
