How would I go about becoming a midwife?

How to become a Midwife?

  • I'm in England. I'm interested in becoming a Midwife, so how do I go about this? Where do I apply? Where do I start?

  • Answer:

I am not sure how it works in England but here in Scotland it is very difficult as my daughter has applied several time and for this years intake which starts in September there is only 15 placements. You need top marks in your Standard Grades(GCSE) 3 of the subjects must be english, maths & science subject and the same with Highers(A Levels) I think if you google it you should find the university entry requirements. Most of Scotlands recently graduated nurses and midwifes are unemployed. Good Luck
