  • Answer:

One thing you can do is volunteer at hospitals. Hospitals are always looking for volunteers and are always appreciative of any extra help anyone is willing to offer. When they start talking to you about your experience in the medical field, let them know that you have two degrees. Sometimes volunteering for awhile gets you in good standing with the hospitals, and they will more than likely consider YOU over anyone else applying for a job because of your good deeds. Don't give up.

I've worked for many companies who have hired people with virtually little or no heatlhcare experience. You need to be realistic in terms of what it is you are willing to do to get your foot in the door as well as pay. As everyone knows, the less experience, the less likely you will earn substantial money. I started as a file clerk many, many, many years ago and managed to work my way up in healthcare administration. Don't be too discouraged and I wish you the best of luck.
