What all do you have to do to become a patient care technician?

Should i become a CNA or Patient Care Technician first before becoming a Registered Nurse?

  Some times a CNA and a patient Care Technician are seen as one and the same. Just called by different names. I am a certified CNA, and I can tell you from experience, that a CNA job is a thousand times more stressful than being a Nurse. As a CNA in a nursing home, I may have thirteen patients to care for, with more than half wearing adult diapers. Many are in wheelchairs. Many have to be hand fed, lifted into bed, many will abuse you, because they have Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease. I notice the Nurses just taking blood or giving medication. But CNA's have the physical part of the job.
