Can On-the-job training programs rather than nursing degrees fill our country's nursing shortages?

You need a degree and a nursing license to be a nurse, trust me I looked into it. Some places will pay for a nursing education if you work as a CNA or some other similar field for them. Other places will also pay for your degree if you agree to work for them as a nurse for a certain amount of time after you get your license. Look into i, if you are interested in being a nurse.

yeah..on the job experience should be encouraged while formal education and training are bound to result in better standards. one way is to offer lateral entry for experienced folks in acquiring formal graduations. there can also be part-time courses to fill the gap.
