What programming language would be appropriate for better job opportunities?

Suggest me a programming language which provides enough job opportunities 10 yrs from now?

  • There are many programming languges. I dont know which language should I build myself. So suggest me a programming language that provides enough job opportunites 10 years from now?

  • Answer:

COBOL? WTF? That language blows @ss. (I'm not saying I don't believe you by the way. I'm just expressing my dislike for that crappy procedural language. It's no wonder there are more lines of COBOL driving applications more than any other language. CAUSE IT TAKES 10 TIMES MORE CODE TO DO ANYTHING IN IT.!!! Anyhow, much like our friend who mentioned COBOL I expect that the C programming language will still be relevant as long as people use Linux and Unix for open source projects.

Believe it or not, the answer is COBOL! It's been going for more than 40 years, almost every big company using mainframes uses it, there are more lines of COBOL running than all other languages put together. I guarantee you there will be plenty of COBOL jobs in 10 years. And you get to work on mainframes, the computers that run the World! Edit: Hi Brock (if you ever return to this question) Shame you have all forms of communication turned off, I'd like to discuss this topic! Actually C would be my second choice! And COBOL is not necessarily all that verbose, especially when written within a good IDE, that can save you a lot of typing. Another good choice would be assembler, there's always assembler work around and always will be. If you can talk to the metal you'll find a job.

Definitely 100% Spanish!! There is such a growing population of spanish-speaking workers that many companies actually prefer you speak spanish. If you get that precise within 10 years, I'm sure you'll receive MANY job opportunities! If you need resume help, I found a great website that gives wonderful resume tips: HireMe101.com.
