    Couldn't find your portfolio, but here is an off-the-wall idea. Get involved with the artistic side of web site creation. About half of the problem in making up a web site is software stuff, but the real key is good looking graphic composition. There is an opportunity there to partner up with some artistically challenged nerd and go into business. Check out what it pays. Pro designers are quoting $2000 for a simple site, $500 a page, serious money.

Send samples of your work with a nice cover letter to every small newspaper in the U.S. you can find. There will be books in the bookstores about how to write good cover letters or query letters, and also listing small town newspapers, also on the Internet.
