What would be a good idea for a non-profit organization?

    How about a charity that donates/purchases airplane tickets for soldiers in active front lines to come home to their family at Xmas/thanksgiving when otherwise they couldn't afford it? Or A charity that helps provide respite care for people with disabilities who are cared for 24/7 so those care givers (usually family) can get away for a few days and enjoy life without having to worry about the responsibility of looking after their disabled family member. Just some thoughts, bit whatever you do make sure that 1. The charity is in a field that needs support, not one that's dominated by celebs because it's popular, and 2. That the funding you raise goes to help the target beneficiaries rather than being diverted to admin and marketing.

A nonprofit organization is a corporation, just like Sears, or General Motors, or McDonald's. Creating one is a very complex and expensive legal process. It is not entertainment for a dumbass kid.
