If you want to major in marketing to open a shop, would you major in marketing or buiness?

I am a long time Sales person and strongly recommend a Business Degree with an emphasis in Finance or something along those lines. Marketing is absolutely something that should be part of your education but is something that can be learned from a class or simple experience, whereas the nuances of business are not as easy to master once you are engaged in your professional life. Plus a Business Degree is more highly respected and will give you more options. There is a book called The Top 100 Business Books -- I recommend reading that - it will give you exposure to lots of different things.
