Car sales a good career to pursue?

Yes, I'm sure it can be. You need to ask yourself if you can be passionate about the job day after day. And can you look in the mirror each morning and say, " yes, I feel good about my job and how I'm doing in it." I would think it would be an interesting profession, fun, and exciting as you will meet people constantly. Good luck!

It really depends on your personality. As a car salesman you only get paid commission and it's pretty low unless you have a certain number of sales then they up your percentage a little bit. On a new vehicle to get the numbers a dealership will sell for $500 over wholesale to get the number... on a used car the commission is much higher as is the mark up ( your commission is not based on the price of the car, it's on the mark up ). You would think the product would sell itself..... Not true people shop around and dealerships want you to sell on inpulse get the person in a contract while they are excited so they don't have time to think about it. Your background may help but it doesn't matter with the training you get on selling the car it's pretty much the same things you point out with each vehicle with a couple of exceptions. Plus when you are selling to a woman or man or a couple with or without kids they have different selling points. If you can financially afford o take this leap of faith go for it. But being a car salesman is about personality and it is a hustle, you will not sell a car everyday. Good luck

i think thats a pretty good job, and the pay is probobly good, and if thats a dream u want to fulfill i think u should go for it, and do what u want to do, hope u find out what u wanna do
