What do you think about sales people?

Sales people often think you must be passionate about what you sell, but this is wrong, isn't it?

    Passion for whatever you do, whether sales or anything else, is an absolute must!!! However, to be good at sales or anything you do, you have to believe in it. Besides why would you want to sell anyone a product that would force you to compromise your integrity. If it's a product that you wouldn't recommend to your closest friend for the same price...DON'T SELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!

not always, when you are trying to sell one product to the people, the fist thing they look is if you ( the sales person) will use the thing you are selling and if the customer or client notice that you don't like the the product you are selling; they automatically will not buying the product, because they will thing that something is very wrong with the product, besides that the only thing is that you don't like the product or you are not passionate for that product, so the best to get a good selling is to know everything about the product you are selling and demonstrate to the client that you love your product and you are using it for your personal use.

well,,i don't agree as u think ,, becoz,, i think u dont know but the person who got his name in GENIOUS BOOK OF WORLD RECORD in Sales man section had sold out Refrigrator,,u know where ,,he did sale a refrigrator in INTARTIKA ,,if he wouldn't had a passion how he cud bring his name in GENIOUS BOOK OF WORLD RECORD ,,so a sale person shud b passionate ;)

Not always true... There are many theories on what the best Sales strategy is. In reality, it kind of depends on your product. I assume that by passionate, you mean the style in which the salesperson presents a product. Simply being passionate about your product is good, but there are many, many, many other techniques and skills that are helpful. Showing sincere concern for your customer is awesome, but won't always sell things unless you are overwhelmingly convinced that your product is the best thing for everyone. People do buy for their own reasons. Salespeople just help them come to those reasons as quickly as possible, whether they are passionate about their product or not.
