I had what I called a "trick" ankle for years. It would just randomly get out of place. It would eventually realign itself on its own. It hasn't bothered me for about 2 to 3 years.

Ok so first off stop exercising, but I'm sure you have. If your waiting on results that's good, but until then keep it elevated and stay off of it as much as possible, even crutches if needed. Most likely you re injured it. The tearing sound seems like its probably your ligaments stretching or breaking so don't put weight on it. has for the bone watch it and make sure it doesn't become worse because that could lead to it per icing the skin if bad enough.
