what country are u from? it all depends on your country's laws. some countries require a licensing exam for interior designers while others don't. if your country requires that exam, then u have to pass it to be called an interior designer. an interior decorator, on the other hand, can be anyone who likes styling interiors. u don;t need to finish a course to be one. what made u think it'll take 6years to be an interior designer??
