Are there any free disabled holidays available?

Does any one provide free holidays for the long termed disabled in the uk thanks declan?

  • Answer:

Not that I am aware of. But, here in the USA they do have programs for sick children and their families such as make a wish foundation. But programs like that are for terminally ill kids not exactly disabled. I do not see anyone who would give money just so someone can go on vacation. I really don't think the government would pay for such extravagances either.

I'm sure there are charitable organizations out there. Probably nothing government-backed though. I know I'll take some heat for this, but why would someone who presumably doesn't work or anything need a vacation? To take a break from the stresses of sitting around at home all day? Hell, even those who do work for a living in the UK and most Europe already get *very* generous (by U.S. standards) vacation time. Something like four weeks a year is about average correct? I haven't taken 4 weeks worth of vacation days in the last 6 years.
