Does anyone know of organizations that help/give computers to disabled single parents for there school kids?

some organizations will help supply computers to disabled children but I'm not sure about adults. There may be something out there but you would really have to ask the organizations you are involved with. Some people with disabilities find it easier to work from home via computer so there may be an organization providing computers for that purpose. Or atleast they may help with the funding for a computer.

A nice idea, in theory, but you will run into the problem of some people not donating unused or un-messed-with computers. It is better to know someone who will build you one, or to save and buy one. These are becoming less and less expensive. If you go to church, announce unproudly that your child needs one to complete assignments, as they are required for some schools, and not issued to them. Mention it to relatives too. Not asking them anything, just saying. Also, you can, if the school requires it, find out from them what you can do besides to save or spend one of your checks to get it. Some laptops are only $300.
