  You've got a sweet job set-up, so I would not apply for disability. I would be honest with my employers about how you feel and perhaps go into the office just one or two half days a week. Than learn to pace yourself at home. Set up an office space that works for you - laying in bed if need be. I worked for 10 years this way. My office was set-up around my couch. Sometimes I would sit, sometimes I would lay, but I could use my computer and the phone at all times.
