  if you're talking about sector9 bamboo boards, and most arbor bamboo boards, there is absolutely no difference. The bamboo is only flexible if you weigh like 200 lbs. Loaded longboards, which are actually high quality, use less bamboo, which is really strong, and just as stiff at given thickness as maple. Bamboo is stronger, so you can use less of it without sacrificing strength. It is also often used with fiberglass, which further reinforces without adding stiffness. Don't trust flexibility unless it has specific weight classes like loaded boards, or you get to stand on it yourself.
