Cant decide to get a skateboard or a longboard?

I can't decide on getting a skateboard or a longboard. I'm not a person that likes to do tricks. Just hop on and skate.

Longboard. they're better thank skateboards, and you can just cruise around without a care in the world. The feeling is better than skating, and a lot of people look down on skaters because of their punk lifestyle.

Longboard for just cruising for sure. Just get a shorter longboard which is nice a wide flexible and some thick soft wheels. I skate and longboard and when I go on a cruise my longboard blows my skateboard away. Skateboard wheels are hard and trucks don't absorb shock much. Plus the wheels are smaller and you will feel every bump and rocks. My longboard is super flexible with soft big wheels and nice trucks and soft riser pads and I don't feel any vibration. Go for a longboard. And you will still be able to hit bowls if your heart dissires

Skateboard because if you change your mind you can do vert. And there lighter and such.
